update

Benjamin turned two weeks old yesterday. Time is already flying by. My brain is a little stuck right now & I'm not really sure what to tell you. I'm much more used to the lack of sleep this go round, but it is still hard for me. We had my parents here last week & David's parents here this week so I haven't really had to go it alone yet. I'm sure I'll have much more to say when that happens.

Here are a couple of pics Carrie took this past weekend of Benjamin & Drew. Also check out flickr.

Benjamin has arrived!

Dear Friends and Family,

Benjamin Eric Davis was born Wednesday September 12 at 4:28pm. He weighs 8 pounds 10 ounces and is 20.5 inches long. He is very healthy and a big eater. Kelli is comfortable and we are ready to go home from the hospital as a new family of 4! That is crazy. Please pray that things continue to go smoothly as we prepare to take our new son home. Drew seems excited at times to have a new baby around and distracted at others. What else can you expect from a big brother that is not even 2 yet? Thanks to everyone for their visit, texts, emails, and prayers. You are all great friends and family and special to us now matter where you are.

Love,

The Davis Family

P.S. - Pictures will follow soon I am sure. Check back...

what's the opposite of true labor?

False labor!

However, I'm trying to focus on something I've recently read that there really is no false labor. The strong, regular contractions I had early this morning have progressed things along nicely. So, Mari, my midwife, said it could be this afternoon, this evening, or possibly a day or two away. The good news is she is predicting once the real action starts, it should go along quickly.

We'll keep you updated.

Benjamin is almost here!

We began tracking regular contractions about 2:30 this morning. Therefore, I expect it to happen today! Things are progressing a lot more slowly than I had hoped and planned on but I am excited the day might finally have come. Stay tuned for more information...

Benjamin is late as of today.

That's about all I have to say about that.
