Drew officially celebrated his 1st birthday yesterday. He enjoyed opening presents & chowing down on some cake. He also had a big surprise for everyone...

Yes, Drew is going to be a big brother early this fall sometime. It's quite a shock to us too!

Lots has been happening with Drew Bear this past month. Besides "DaDa" he also says, "Mamama" & "Uh-Oh." He can make the signs for all done & more as well as wave. He's gotten three more teeth (that makes seven total). Something new & really fun are the toddler tantrums he's been throwing. I got to experience two while at Target the other day. My baby boy is becoming a little boy very quickly. It's strange to think about how a whole year has passed since his birth. It's been a wild year.

So we saw my family in Deer Park on Christmas. That's where Drew drank a little bleach. That's right, he drank bleach. Apparently it wasn't enough to worry about (which I did anyway of course). He had been trying to get into my parent's laundry room & finally saw his chance. The door was left open & no one was watching. He came toddling into our room chewing on the lid & reeking of bleach. I freaked out, but luckily about a month ago I programmed the AR Poison Control hotline in my cell phone. We just had to change his clothes, wipe him down, & give him some water to drink. The day after Christmas we drove across Texas to Lubbock to visit David's family. No big accidents there. Rather than the presents themselves, Drew enjoyed climbing in or on the boxes of his gifts. All in all, it was a good Christmas.
