on the move

Drew has started crawling on his hands and knees. He is continually finding new things to get into so we are having to move things up. I was so looking forward to this phase of his life, but it also has its drawbacks. I can't really leave him in a room by himself anymore. Unless he's in the pack and play or some other apparatus. If I do leave him alone for a minute, he usually crawls over to some piece of furniture & pulls up. He's also really in to furniture cruising. Check out the video file to see him in action. There's one of him doing the commando crawl about a week ago. Then, there's a short & a long video of him crawling.

8 months

Drew has grown so much this month. Besides the two teeth that are just about fully grown in, this morning I noticed the tip of one coming down from the top. He has mastered commando crawling and is getting into as much trouble as he can. So far his favorite things to get a hold of are those door stop spring things, wires, and remote controls. He's also taken a couple of tumbles. One out of the rocking chair (on David's watch) and one off the changing table (on my watch). I think he would flip off a bridge if we let him. Maybe he'll be an adventure sport enthusiast when he grows up. He can also sit up from his belly all on his own by pushing and scooting himself backwards.

fall is near

The weather in NWA the past couple of weeks has been wonderful. The coolness is getting me so excited for fall. Like most who live here, I absolutley love fall in the Ozarks. There's just something magical in the air. David, Drew, & I took a little family time at the park the other evening. Drew loves to swing. For some live feed check out swingvideo.mov in Drew's video file.
